Garden Design Advisory Consultation

Sometimes, a fresh perspective and a little expert guidance are all you need to see the potential in your garden and feel more confident about what to do next.

Our Garden Design Advisory Consultation offers personalised advice and practical ideas to help you make the most of your outdoor space. Whether you’re looking to improve your garden’s layout, explore new planting possibilities or simply work out where to begin, we’ll look at the possibilities together and find a way forward that feels right for you and your garden.

During our on-site meeting, we’ll talk through your aspirations, look at your garden together and explore ideas tailored to your needs, tastes and budget. Our discussion might include:

  • Garden layout and flow – making better use of your space, with ideas for pathways, terraces and seating areas.

  • Materials and finishes – exploring options that complement your garden and home.

  • Planting and structure – advice on plant choices, colour, seasonal interest, screening, framing and boundaries.

  • Practical improvements – identifying ways to enhance how your garden looks and functions.

  • Working with landscapers – advice on choosing and working with suitable professionals.

  • Priorities and phasing – deciding where to invest, what to tackle first and how to develop your garden in manageable stages.

What’s included

Your consultation includes:

  • Up to two hours of on-site garden design and horticultural advice.

  • Personalised recommendations and practical ideas tailored to your garden and requirements.

  • A bespoke written report summarising our discussions and recommendations, including relevant plant suggestions and links to recommended suppliers, products and useful resources.

The report will give you a helpful reference to return to as you make decisions and develop your garden at your own pace.

What’s not included

This is an advisory service, rather than a full garden design package. It does not include:

  • Garden design drawings or scaled layout plans.

  • Detailed planting plans or plant-by-plant planting layouts.

  • Technical construction drawings, specifications or setting-out plans.

  • 3D perspectives, 3D models or animations

The written report provides guidance and recommendations, rather than a complete design ready for a landscaper to implement. If you decide you’d like a more detailed design or planting plan, we can discuss whether a separate service would be suitable.

A thoughtful gift

A Garden Design Advisory Consultation makes a lovely and thoughtful gift for anyone who would appreciate a little expert guidance with their garden. It could be just the thing for a new homeowner who’s unsure where to begin, a less experienced gardener looking for advice and inspiration, or a seasoned garden enthusiast keen to explore fresh ideas and new possibilities for their space.
